INTRODUCTION

Hello there! Come in, come in! What a nice surprise – I had no idea you would be visiting today. Please, make yourself comfortable. Now let’s see… where should we begin? Oh, I should introduce myself! My name is Sabin. I am an independent game developer from Romania. I was born in 1987, and I have been developing computer games since 1995.

As a young boy, I started out programming in Quick Basic, and with time I advanced trough different programming languages and game development engines. Currently I am using Unity to develop my indie games. After living in several countries all across Europe in my teenage years, I finally settled in Serbia with my beautiful wife and my beloved dog Reks. I speak 4 languages fluently and besides developing an playing games, I am passionate about hacking, astrophysics, and engineering in general.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Teach me to make games!

I was lucky enough to start at a very early age. I had a great teacher that gave me private programming lessons in BASIC at age 8. After that, everything I learned I did so by myself. Back in the 90s, there was no Google or YouTube, not to mention free sophisticated game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine. Belive it or not, people actually read these dusty old things called books, and wrote most of their software themselves, including the game engine. Nowadays, you have the entire internet at your disposal if you want to learn. You can literally google “how to” anything.  If I can do it, you can do it as well! Just pick up any game development course, and don’t stop learning. Ever. And experiment and try things. There is no better knowledge than self taught knowledge. Experience comes from practice. So practice, practice and then more practice!

Teach me how to hack!

No. If you want to learn real hacking techniques, asking strangers to teach you is a big mistake. Hacking requires the skill of figuring things out by yourself, including how to learn to hack. I strongly encourage you to pursue your curiosity by yourself instead of asking for handouts. You are not a hacker if somebody else hacks things for you or shows you what to do, and you just go “monkey see monkey do”. Plus that rarely works, you need to understand things, not just repeat them, as each situation, each hack is different. If you want to start learning seriously about hacking and join the IT security industry you should take one of the many free courses available online, and apply for a certification if you plan to get a job in this sector.

Hack this or that for me!

You are joking, right? You risk getting hacked yourself and being taught a painful lesson if you stumble across someone with the necessary skills and enough free time. Or simply getting scammed, if you offer to pay for a hack. Furthermore, why would I waste my time hacking something that I do not need or want? My time is valuable, and hacking is risky, so why would I risk anything for you? Would you clean my house and wash my car for me just for fun? Would you rob a bank for me? Exactly. Last but not least, what you probably want me to hack for you is not as important as you think, guaranteed. You will get over it. You need to stop bothering strangers with this type of questions.
